OWN A PIECE OF DISNEY HISTORY!!!
Purchased over 20 years ago at an eclectic dish shop in downtown Chicago called P.O.S.H on State Street. They acquire rare, vintage dishes from all over. These were definitely a rare find! So while these dishes could be classified as “used,” I personally never used them. I just wanted to “have” them
because of the precious memories of going on vacation with my family when WDW was ONLY the Contemporary and Poly. :-) So I kept them safely stored for all these years.
Since this is a big purchase, you might consider going in on it with a fellow Disney friend or friends - split the cost and the dishes! Another idea: purchase, keep the number of dishes you need, then give the extra dishes as gifts to those favorite Disney fans in your life. If 8 is too many, store the rest just in case the unthinkable happens - you’ll be glad you had a spare to replace anything that breaks.
What’s fun about these plates is that they aren’t consistent with color...and some of the plates have 'imperfections' in the golden design! I’ve photo'd that so you can see. How eclectic and fun! Love that vintage D pattern...
Each plate weighs 1 lb, 14.6 oz. Stamped on the bottom of each is a Buffalo and a number. Contact me if you’d like a pic of all of the bottoms. I hope they find a great home!
Pick up only in the NW Chicago suburbs (60193). They are too precious to risk shipping. I typically meet buyers in the Schaumburg Woodfield area, like the Trader Joe’s on Golf
Road. If you don’t live around here, maybe you are planning a trip to visit, or
have family, friends, or work colleagues here who can secure your purchase and pick up for you. Masks will be required for buyer and seller for a safe pick up. :-)
This is a rare find - imagine the gasps at your next gathering when your guests realize the significance of these special plates.
